About my work::
Little Chef.
I have distant memories of visiting these service stations and using the bathrooms, my parents were strict macrobiotics and would never dream of eating food in such a place.
Even though I have never eaten in one, I became drawn to sites on my weekly drive along the A38 from South Devon to Dorset.
I discovered that the company was in dire financial difficulty in 2007 and sold to a private equity firm, In a bid to save the very British roadside restaurant many underperforming restaurants were closed.
I spent much of 2008 visiting various restaurants creating a portrait of Little Chef and its place within the british landscape.
